About Us

WE ARE A BOOKSHOP AND CAFE LOCATED IN WACO, TEXAS

Connected though a mutual friend, Kimberly Batson and Alison Frenzel met one day to talk about their shared dream: to open a bookshop. There were no goals or expectations for their conversation, but after that initial meeting, they scheduled another. And then another. A causal conversation quickly turned into a viable business prospect that was undergirded with hours of research and meetings with others in the bookstore industry.

After all of that research, they went to the experts. Would this work? Did Waco really need this? “We want you to crush our dreams, if possible,” they said. And so, those experts looked hard at their research and analyzed their projections. The end result was an announcement in Spring 2017  to open Fabled Bookshop & Cafe, an independent bookshop and cafe in Waco, Texas.
